A story of nuts and lights

It's been a week since i removed the headlamps and indicators of Rumble Bee. Finally got Ben ( headlamp smoking grandmaster) to help me with the restoration of the headlamps.

Things were going smoothly till we got the glass lenses off, and realised the previous owner had attempted what can be best described as a ghetto repair. Guess what, he "re-chromed" the headlights with some Pagoda brand ground nut packaging. This meant that besides sanding down the rusty headlights, we had to slowly remove brittle, burnt pieces of packaging as well.

With that out of the way, we treated the the reflectors to some nice creamy white rust killer and inhibitor solution, had a smoke and went to check out some wheels for Ben's ride.

We came back and whupped the spray cans out, silver primer, chrome paint, clear coat. Ben did most of he spraying, i only sprayed on the primer.

Well, lo and behold, the 25 year old headlights look pretty sharp no?
